2012 Cuvee Stella - Our version of a " Super Tuscan " made of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot. The wine spent 24 months in a new French Oak barrels. This wine is named after the newest STAR in the family "Stella." A Quarter Horse filly that resides at our C5 Ranch and Vineyard. A complex nose of fennel, black olive and new leather with a toasty oak aroma. Velvet overwhelms the palate up front with hints of cherries and sweet vanilla plus a touch of earthiness at the finish.
